2020 INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY  

The United Nations Association of Nigeria (UNAN) in collaboration with other Groups and Non-Governmental Organisations is planning to mark the 2020 International Women’s Day on Thursday 5th March, 2020.

As you already aware, the Theme for the year is “I AM GENERATION EQUALITY: REALIZING WOMEN’S RIGHTS”. We intend to have a Panel of discussants around the International Theme and a key note speaker on the day.

The event will be held between 10.00am and 1.00pm at the ACCESS BANK NEW HEAD OFFICE (FORMER DIAMOND BANK HEAD OFFICE), PRINCE ALABA ABIODUN ONIRU ROAD, MAROKO, Near FOUR POINTS By SHERATON HOTEL, VICTORIA ISLAND, LAGOS.

We have confirmed the following to be available for the event:

i. Key Note Speaker – Engr. (Mrs.) Joana Olu Maduka : 1st Female President of the Nigerian Academy of Engineering and First Female Registered Engineer in Nigeria.

ii. Speakers on the Panel
a. Abimbola Akinsanya -Youth Female

b. Patricia Idiakhoa – Chairperson, NACCIMA Women’s Business Group

c. Ada Agina Ude –Women Advocate

iii. The Moderator shall be CHISOM OGBUMMUO.

We are expecting up to two hundred (200) participants made up of Students, Civil Society Leaders, Private Sector Partners, Government Representatives and Supporters of Gender Equality and the Press.
